Definitions of a Beulah DS3 Line
Courtesy of ShopforDS3.com

Definition 1. - For many years, the fastest, and unfortunately, the most expensive way to connect to the outside world was through a ds1 or T1 connection. DS stands for Digital Signal or Digital Service. Now more commonly used and not near as expensive as it used to be, Beulah DS3 or Data Service Level 3 is the connection of choice for many large companies and places that require a lot of bandwidth. DS3 technology is used for T3 lines and allows connections to the Internet to reach speeds of up to 44.736 megabits per second.

Definition 2. - Digital carrier with a speed of 45Mbs. Equivalent of 28 DS1s. Also called T3.

Definition 3. - Digital Signal Level 3. Framing specification used in transmitting digital signals at 44.736-Mbps on a T3 facility (United States) or at 34.368-Mbps on an E3 facility (Europe).

Definition 4. - DS3 service is a digital, dedicated private-line service giving you high capacity for any combination of data, voice or video applications. The versatility of DS3 Beulah makes it ideal for data-intensive users with large backbone applications or private networks requiring channelized transport. The point-to-point structure of DS3 Service affords greater economies of scale by combining 28 DS1s or 672 separate 64 Kbps channels onto one communications path.

T1 Internet Access for Dummies
Written by - Debra Johannesburg, Staff Writer

The t1 internet service has been around for over 40 years but never have there been so many "flavors" available. The number of providers has jumped since deregulation in 1996 from a few dozen to several thousand. As the telecom shakedown that began in 2001 continues many of these comapnies are trying to stay afloat by capturing as many customers as possible with inexpensive products they claim to be T1. Don't be fooled!

Many of the desperate companies are putting together inferior products they claim are T1 products. Be leary of products with the funny titles like "burstable" and "reach". These products are oversubscribed much like a DSL product. This means the provider put's a singled T1 connnection in a CO (Central Office) and sells T1 connections to 3 or 4 customers hoping they don't all use the service at the same time. True T1 access means dedicated access to the internet and you always have access to 1.54Mbps.

Make sure your T1 product is a "clearchannel" product and is not shared with other users. Also be sure you have an SLA or Service Level Agreement from your provider. A SLA will specify the access you will receive and the penaly the service provider will pay if they do not provide such service. If you need help establishing the proper SLA seek the help of a professional if you don't have one in house. It's much better to pay a small fee up front than to enter a long term contract with an inferior carrier. You can also get professional assistance free of charge by simply contacting one fo the many T1 brokers on the internet.

1.54 MBPS = T1 Speed!
Written by - Stu Jones, Staff Writer

T1 speed connections aren't just for large corporations any more. As pricing declines many people are opting for the more reliable and flexible service over a DSL connection. Also, the growing number of bandwidth hungry applications like ASP service, VOIP, streaming video and graphic heavy files are pushing the demand for more reliable connections. So, what does it take to get one of these connections?

Getting a connection isn't as complicated as it was just two years ago. Products have been streamlines and bundled for small businesses to be able to take advantage. While a standard connection was between $1,000 and $2,000 just a few years ago a small business can now find integrated service including both voice and data on a single line for as little as $500! For most companies this is comparable the the price they already pay for DSL service and their phone service. So why not switch? Our Page Keywords Are: Beulah frame relay Beulah DS3 line Beulah DS3 connection Beulah DS3 service Beulah DS3 provider Beulah DS3 internet Beulah DS3 internet connection Beulah DS3 service provider Beulah DS3 price Beulah DS3 speed Beulah DS3 internet service Beulah DS3 internet access Beulah fractional DS3 Beulah DS3 bandwidth Beulah DS3 internet service provider Beulah DS3 internet provider Beulah DS3 pricing Beulah DS3 internet services Beulah DS3 services. These keywords provide a brief overview of the services offered by ShopforDS3 in your city.

Switching to a more reliable connection is not only less expensive than a few years ago, the implementation has been streamlined. Companies quote a minimum of 30 days to perform an installation but some can perform the implementation in as few as 20 days! While this is possible with some companies not all companies are capable of this speed yet. Much of the imlementation process is handled by the LEC (Local Exchange Carrier) and is out of the hand of your service provider. With the reduced price and streamlined implementation available you may want to reconsider your current connections and get a large company service at a small company price.
